Reminders – Set Up

Reminders are personalized searches, lists, tasks, events, etc that require the attention and are based on the role of the individual. For example, a CSR may create a Lead or a Prospect, but salesperson is the one that needs to follow up on those Leads and Prospects in order to get the sale. So, once a Lead or Prospect is created a reminder will appear on the salesperson dashboard so that the salesperson can take action. The same is true when salesperson gets an order. The Sales Order will need to be approved by the GM, so the GM gets a reminder that a Sales Order needs to be approved. If the individual dashboards are not set up correctly, it will be easy to be missed. In this example if GM did not get the reminder to approve the sale, the sale will not be approved and will stop there.   It will not move into the pipeline because without the approval, the SO will not show on the CSR or the Warehouse dashboard.

The Subsidiary Navigator is a CUSTOM PORTLET allows users with access to more than one subsidiary to isolate their entire role to a single subsidiary.  All reminders, search results and entry fields will default to the selected subsidiary.  To add this portlet, follow the screenshot below.  From there, click on the subsidiary in the bottom image and the user profile will load restricted to that subsidiary.
