Merging Acts 

Even been careful not to create duplicate accounts for the same customer, it still does happen and when it does, we may have to merge accounts so that all information on all accounts is transferred and consolidated in just one account.

Note: Before creating any lead, Prospect or customer always check if the address, name, phone or email already exist in the system. That will avoid creating duplicate accts.

CSRs should analyze and make sure that indeed is a duplicate account before requesting a merge of accounts since this process once is done, it is irreversible and CANNOT be undone.

  1. Identify the accts that need to be merged.
  2. Which account is the Master act (with the most current information)
  3. Check Assets and contracts and if there is any duplication make sure to inactivate the duplicate contract or/and asset.
  4. Send a Freshdesk instructing which accts to merge and clearly specify which act is the primary/master act and which are the duplicates.
  5. Once the merge is complete make sure to verify account for accuracy.
